dilemma of uncovering the truth
Perhaps
no one noticed, but a British national is reported to have secretly taped
a prime Maltese witness in the Lockerbie trial. The witness was, according
to the reputable UK newspapers, The Guardian and The Scotsman a Mr Tony
Gauci, of Mary House fame - a small haberdashery on the Sliema front.

Peter Serracino Inglott’s appointment as
a Maltese representative on the convention on the future of Europe comes
as a pleasant disappointment. I had the impression that my paranoia about

MLP
does not trust electoral commission
The
Labour party has remained conspicuously silent on the controversy
related to the composition of the electoral commission, which came
to a head last year, despite gearing up for the forthcoming local
elections.
But when asked by MaltaToday yesterday, Labour leader Alfred Sant
reiterated the party’s stance that it has no trust in the electoral
commission.
